In a way. Apart from Flora just being herself, Colin kept trying to foist more tacos on Benni not that long ago. I don’t think it’s been overt, but they are trying to put meat on the boy’s bones.
benni also has kind of a trauma response to food, everyone keeps having to tell him “YES you can eat as much as you need, we have plenty” so probably his dad would abuse him for eating too much, or would get mad at him for eating enough
There is that. I don’t see it being an issue for too much longer with the support of Colin and Flora, though. They’ve done wonders in rattling his perceptions of the world.
I’m betting it’ll be happening sooner than later, honestly, considering how much of a family atmosphere both Colin and Flora like to encourage. We already have Flora’s son calling him “my new brother”… In fact, it might be better if Flora adopted him instead, if Benni wants his relationship with Tanya to grow.
My daughter just weeks ago finalized the adoption of one of her fosters. The process has been ongoing for around two years.
And that’s quick for the process. It helped that both the birth parents willingly signed off because my grandson has developmental issues.
Congrats to them! It’s wonderful that worked out! It must be such a relief for them to have finalized it and made it official! Hopefully your daughter will now have the chance to really help make a difference!

I’m surprised that at no point in this series that anyone has mentioned just how skinny Bennie is, despite being seen by multiple Beast already.

I think Colin or Flora mentioned it once in the older comics but I could be wrong.
