Ah memories. I was a 90s kid without cable. My friend had cable and was always going on about shows I had never heard of or seen. She’d be surprised I had no idea what she was talking about and yet again I’d have to remind her that I didn’t have cable. I didn’t see any cable shows (other another a few 80s things off an old vhs) until I was a teen as my grandparents were gifted cable for some anniversary or something.
Reminds me of my house. We had basic cable, at least it had Nickelodeon and Disney, so I was lucky with that, but not much else interested me. Every summer my grandparents and I would go to Mississippi to visit family there for 2 weeks. For those 2 weeks I was in heaven. I got to see and play with my favorite cousins and there was satellite there with Cartoon Network. So all year I would be waiting to watch great cartoons and wondering what new cartoons had come out.
