I am a little bothered by Benni’ comment. Losing your temper is one thing, losing your memory of it is something else.
Sorry to hear that. Michael Reagan was raped when he was a Cub Scout my a scoutmaster (since deceased). But I wonder if traumatic memories are truly suppressed, or if people just not tell others about them until later.
as someone who dissociated my entire childhood until I was safe enough to decompress things, and has dissociation/depersonalization disorder as a result, repressed memories are extremely real.
also benni finally being taught the language to express what is happening to him is heartbreaking. poor little guy.
I have to agree there too. To this day I am shocked by what my brain hid from me. I used to think my life was so happy, but now people around tell me about how many times I nearly died in school and out.

It could be that he supressed so much that he literally gets blind with rage when the slightest thing triggers him.
My younger brother was like that for a number of years.
We found out (twenty years after the fact) that he was raped by a fourteen year old boy when he was six or seven.
