Just going to say, I’m talking as someone who’s had CPS called on him multiple times. My son was born with a cleft lip & palate. he had a substantial scar on his upper lip due to surgery. For five years while he was in Elementary School, every frigging year we had CPS called out by the school over his mouth scar, even though his school had ALL his medical records and KNEW his scar was from surgery. At the time it was a royal pain in the ass, and it got me plenty mad. Looking back thru the lens… Read more »
Well, common sense, if nothing else, would make someone freak out if they saw a completely naked child run around in their yard at nighttime. Mike could hardly be considered stupid for the way he reacted.
I should probably point out that my son had the same Teacher for the first three years, and that each time (five years, remember), we went round-and-round with the school Principal as well as some of the same County Officials. And twice with the Doctor who did the yearly exams of the kids
For what it’s worth, this isn’t really a situation I’d expect someone to call CPS for. Given the hour, it’s pretty obvious that Talitha ran outside naked of her own accord.
If it was during the day and Flora had clearly been awake that would be a different story.
I can ACTUALLY relate to this, but it was more like my parents got sick of getting those calls. I had a birthmark on my cheek, that looks like a bruise. My teachers when they first met me kept asking if I got hit on the face at home. Even though I told them it was just a birthmark, they still got called by them.
All this controversy over a movie? Seriously? Have we become so repugnant of a society that we cannot even discuss puberty and the awkwardness of adolescence in a light-hearted allegory?
So Google is forcing their G Suite users to Google Workspace for 'enhanced user and networking experience' apps at a cost PER USER cost, which basically gives a middle finger to the very small site owners who only want basic email and analytics on their domain.
Now thats a S-tier mom in action.
I realize Flora is VERY annoyed and upset ATM, but when she gets over it she *really* needs to thank Mike for being concerned.
That right there is how you keep kits safe.

Poor Flora needs coffee. All Mike is doing is trying to be helpful.
Tali’s in trouble! Mike does need a nice thank you later, though.
Yep yep, that’s the “Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee” look. XD
Look at her…Talitha’s just having the time of her life. We all remember those days.
