After all is said and done, Tanya is still a kit, and the only girl in the family to boot. Sometimes being possessive when one never had to share before is understandable…I’m just glad her dad is a good influence.
I could be in the minority, but I’m going to call out Colin and give Tanya a little more credit here. Perhaps she didn’t open them because she considered them collectibles. Colin should have encouraged her to give them up first, rather than just assume she didn’t want the dolls.
That’s one way to look at it.
Honestly, I assumed that if they were toys she was keeping (as in, as you say, Collectibles), she would have said so here.
I.e., “But Dad! They’re LIMITED EDITION!”… Or some such.
