Still hurts to see Benni’s body all skin and ribs like that. Here’s hoping Flora will be able to afford a gold deal more food now and help fatten him up. No kid deserves to go hungry like that

After years of abuse, Benni is doing amazing in his recovery. A loving family took him in, has proven, again and again, to care, even his own victim forgave him. It may not seem it, but all of that, and the promise he will never go back to the abuse, is worth more than gold to someone like him, and has, realistically speaking, sped up the healing process far more than some would believe, but it is still a very slow process. I didn’t go through near as much as Benni and I’m still, decades down the road, experiencing issues derived from childhood sexual issues. Childhood abuse, especially abuse of a violent nature, is damaging in the extreme and may never be fully healed from. PTSD can be classified as a form of brain damage, now, due to what changes such fight or flight experiences can cause in the brain’s chemistry. Being part of a loving family, especially with a brother(foster or not, blood relations or not, family is family) who forgave him for the violence he received from him, will help… Read more »
Well, thankfully, Flora isn’t going to be the only one who has to help Tali…the cub does have other family members. As for Tanya…getting her some therapy ASAP will help, as well as love and care from her family. Same with Benni. I’m grateful that the two of them have family that are willing and capable of helping them.

Probably far beyond the lifetime of this comic.
Sorry to say, There are indications my foster granddaughter suffers from similar problems, and possibly from the same cause.
